CROWN XTi 1000 POWER AMP
Things you should know or may already know about the Crown CDi, XTi, & DSi power amp series – A) There are a few capacitors that are notorious for failing in this series, all Crown amps that I sell have been gone through and these capacitors have been replaced with brand name, higher quality and longer lasting caps! This is very important, especially when buying used! B) Second consistent issue with this series is the front display going dark (back light failure) Any of these series amps that pass through my hands are carefully inspected, if the front display is not as bright as it should be the back-light gets replaced. C ) A certain serial number range was sold with some bad resistors there was a recall that is no linger an option. I replace all such resistors. Lastly I do a multi point system spec check and if the amp is not operating at factory specification I service the amp.
